TEST TRACK EPCOT

As you walk up to the ride you glimpse the cars passing at speed ahead of you. We took a fast pass as the queues were pretty long. Even as you queue you will be entertained with various safety tests being carried out around you, dont worry these are all models.In the pre show video they explain to you what the test consists of and of course they add a twist yes a crash will be thrown in. Umm I though, do I really want to go on this ride.

Next into the test car, a very nice convertible. With a quick stop for the harness check the light turns green and away you go.You go through an uphill climb, quite steep but not at all scary, then onto the suspension test over various cobbles etc. A bit bumpy but a lot of fun. The brake test comes next, first without ABS and then with ABS I will leave it to your imagination as to the difference.

The road then becomes twisty and climbs higher and higher. As you ascend you pass through the Environmental Chamber where you will experience both very hot and very cold conditions. Dont worry you are perfectly safe. The here it is the crash. You head at speed towards a closed set of doors, guess what they open at the very last minute and away you go into the open air and on the track itself. Remember folks as you exit these doors your picture will be taken. Take the time to go and look at them they are hilarious.

Travelling at 65 miles and hour (it feels like 100MPH with the wind going through your hair) you speed round the straights and banks of the test track Exit is through the drivers technology labs which seems to me to be an advert for GM cars.All in all test track is a fantastic ride and one of the best in EPCOT
