The Rennaisance Resort
If you are looking for somewhere a bit special to go to celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary or other special event, then you need look no further than here
It is not compulsory to dress up but it does make a nice change in Florida to go somewhere and not feel over dressed if you are not in your shorts. We opted to dress up a little as we were going to celebrate my parent’s anniversary.
The restaurant is in the atrium of the hotel; it’s an amazing setting with really high ceilings and balconies from the rooms in the hotel facing into it. There is an aviary in the centre with birds that make their presence known at various intervals throughout your meal. There is also a large pond with large Koi in.
The attentive waiters were quick to offer Champagne, Bucks Fizz or Orange Juice, or Soda for the children, which was refilled at regular intervals.
The food is absolutely amazing – we had to choose from breads, fresh fruit, breakfast items and salads. Also on offer were prime rib, salmon en-croute and sushi on an extensive seafood bar. There was also Lamb Chops, Roast Beef, Lasagne, Pasta’s and Beef tips, to name but a few. We were really spoiled for choice; it was hard to decide what to choose.
To follow there was an amazing selection of Cakes, Gateaux, Pies, Danish Pastries and Ice Cream. I decided on a slice of Black Forest Gateau and my other half selected Key Lime Pie.
There was also a great choice of cheese and biscuits.
To round off the meal there is a chocolate fountain, where the kids (large & small!) can dip in strawberries, pineapple, marshmallows & krispie cakes. I just had to have a go being a big kid at heart!
We were then served with coffee and mints, which we just managed to fit in!
Just as we finished our meal the resident musical trio turned up to serenade each table, as it was my parents anniversary we let my Dad choose and he was surprised and delighted when they knew the rather obscure tune he chose. It was the perfect end to a really memorable meal.
So if you want to spoil yourselves this really is the place to go. |
